Definition:The maximum quantum yield of photosystem II primary photochemistry in the dark adapted state. Calculated as Fv/Fm. Estimated from Fm - Fo/Fm where Fo is the dark-adapted fluorescence and Fm is the maximum fluorescence under saturating light or a photosynthesis inhibitor.
Comments:Also referred to as photosynthesis efficiency.
