Abstract: | The soyabean (Glycine max) population SG1P was developed to incorporate high seed protein content into an elite soyabean population that was segregating for nuclear male sterility to facilitate intermating. It was produced by crossing 8 high seed protein plant introductions (with an average seed protein content of 501 g/kg) and Hobbit 87 as pollen parents with each of 5 male sterile (ms2ms2) F2 plants from the SG1E3 population. |
