Title:Physiologic races of Peronospora manshurica on soybeans

Abstract:Three physiol. races of downy mildew (P. manshurica) of soybeans were discovered by the use of 7 pure line vars. Illini was completely susceptible to all races, whereas Richland was completely susceptible to races 1 and 2 and, when inoculated with race 3, developed resistant pinpoint type of lesions. Chief, Manchu 3, T 117, Mukden and Dunfield developed no lesions when inoculated with races 1 and 3, and small resistant-type lesions with race 2. || ABSTRACT AUTHORS: G. E. Geeseman
